Beyond the Frame
Where the spirit meets the bone • Where the Spirit Meets the Bone explores the profound connection between movement, body, and mind. Collaborating with dancers, the work captures the beauty of transition and unspoken emotions through black-and-white imagery. Rooted in personal experience, this project translates movement into a visual language, revealing raw expression beyond words.
Where is my home?
Visual Haiku Poems Embracing Imperfection • Natalia Rudychev's photography is a meditation on vulnerabil- ity, presence, and the unspoken connections that shape human experience. Their work is less about capturing a moment and more about revealing its essence—an exploration of fragility and resilience through the interplay of light and form. Rooted in both personal history and universal emotion, their images invite view- ers into an intimate dialogue where meaning unfolds in layers, shaped by both artist and observer.
In Between the Shadows
Memoria Viva • This work explores the lingering presence of a lost loved one through the interplay of archival and contemporary images. By weaving past and present, it reflects on the soul's persistence beyond physical existence, evoking memory, emotion, and the symbolic connection between earthly life and the afterlife in a dreamlike visual dialogue.
The vibrant Mayan culture of the Highlands • After travelling and living in the United States, Juan Brenner returned to Guatemala, where he worked on photographic projects focusing on the Highlands and their inhabitants, culminating in his latest book, Genesis. The images depict rural life and its daily myster- ies: ancient carved stones adorned with mythical figures, vibrant flowers and seeds, statues of Jesus within a shoe shop, dental labo- ratories showcasing golden teeth, youngsters swimming in pools, men in cowboy hats, market sellers with chickens, women in tra- ditional dress, a handful of meat, and coffins in a funeral home. The photographs in the book are rich with codes and symbols that represent the vibrant life of an ancient culture. Genesis is a tribute to the beauty and memory of the Guatemalan Highlands.

Art photography has long served as a mirror to the human psyche, capturing emotions, identity, and the complexities of human experience. In today's fast- paced world, photography is increasingly being used as a therapeutic outlet, offering individuals a way to explore their emotions, trauma, and self-identity through visual storytelling. But how does emotional photography influence the world of visual storytelling today?
Finding Light in Darkness • Photography in the work of Linda Plaisted is a layered explora- tion of nature, womanhood, and time, intertwining resilience, mythology, and environmental consciousness.
